Just set up gMail and works great. I'll post an FAQ with pictures detailing the process. Gotta step away for a bit..

    Here's the screen in question:

    Hope this helps..

What kind of troubles are you experiencing?

i.e. Are you receiving any emails? Do you have other pop3 accounts configured? Inconsistant delivery? Emails 'vanishing'?

I am having a problem setting it up. I got the error message below:

An error occured while downloading messages. Verify that you have network coverage and that your account info is correct and then try again.

I do have network coverage and my account info is correct. I logged on online and did not have any issues...

Can anyone help me with this?

    Having trouble too

I set it up just like your screen shot, but when I try to send/recieve, I get the error " Your internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify your settings in Data Connections"... BUT I can connect to the internet with all other apps. Any ideas?

Sorry it took so long. Here's the knowledgebase article How To Setup gMail on the Motorola Q.

I set it up, deleted it and tested setup again to confirm these settings are correct. The steps outlined in the above tutorial worked perfectly.

Any questions, please feel free to ask. Hope this helps.:w00t:

Guys I just realized you may have to enable POP in your actual gmail account. Log in to it click settings at the top and go to the tab that says Forwarding and POP or something like that. It will probably say that POP is disabled, just press the enable for all email button and I believe you should be set.

    copies of outbound

the only annoying thing with gmail is that i seem to be getting copies of all my outgoing mail. I think it has to do with the gmail way that they store conversations.

    everyone else get this issue?
