You probably figured this out already, but just in case, no it doesn't.

I just bought a USB2.0 multi-card reader from Amazon for $18. And it's manufactured by SanDisk too - so I know the quality's going to be solid.

    Thats is correct

Using the USB card reader is the only way to put files onto an SD card from an iMac.

If you have Missing Sync, you can mount the Q to the Mac desktop and install files directly onto the MiniSD card through the phone. You don't need a card reader.

how can you determine where to transfer the file through MissingSync? I thoguht by default all files were uploaded into the My Documents folder on the phone's internal memory.

Once you mount the phone to your Mac, you can navigate the folders just like any other media. The Q simply shows up on the desktop, then double click to open it. If you have a MiniSD card, you drag and drop to it.
