    Forum Policy

    As a member of the EverythingWM forum, you must follow the policies and guidelines as outlined. Select a guideline for more detailed explanation. Failure to comply with policies set forth below can result in everything from suspension of forum privileges to being banned from the site.The following are rules and guidelines that we expect all members to follow.Rules and Guidelines (updated March 9, 2011)

    1. Please read our tutorials in Site Feedback and Help for suggestions on how to get the most from our forums.
    2. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
    3. No direct or indirect advertising of your blog, site or product. Software developers should refer the Developer Promotion Policy that is specific to developers who are looking to promote applications in the Marketplace.
    4. No foul language
    5. You must show respect for fellow members
    6. No trolling
    7. No links or offers for free phones.
    8. No spam links
    9. Do not use super-large fonts or type in all caps.
    10. Representatives from commercial manufacturers can take part in discussion, but must disclose their association.
    11. Commercial manufacturers are not allowed to use this forum as a means of advertising.
    12. Signature links must not include any form or advertising or promotional wording. Similar wording or naming conventions to sites with the Smart Phone Resource, Inc network are strictly prohibited.
    13. Multiple accounts are not allowed.
    14. Do not post complete articles without giving proper credit.
    15. Do not discuss file sharing methods
    16. Do not use usernames, avatars or signatures that might not be considered "family friendly" or offensive. If you are unsure, please contact a moderator or the admin.
    17. Do not sign up and link to your website. It is a one-way ticket to a lifetime ban.
    18. Please use the search feature before posting an inquiry. In most cases, your question has been asked and answered.
    19. Please post in the appropriate forum.
    20. Please be descriptive when selecting a subject title. For example, "I Need Help" is not a clear description and you won't get as many replies. "Marketplace Apps Will Not Update" is a good example of a more descriptive subject title.
    21. Please use proper grammar where possible.
    22. Please do not become a "post whore"
    23. Please do not cross post. Posting the same message in more than one categories will just end up in your posts being deleted.
    24. Do not solicit personal information, email addresses of our members are ask them to use the personal message system for that purpose.
    25. Microsoft will likely not condone jailbreaking your Windows Phone 7 device and such activity may well void the warranty.
    26. Please use the Off-Topic forum for anything unrelated to Windows Phone.
    27. Discussion of religion and/or politics is not permitted in any section of this forum.
    28. Copyright Rules: Do not link to or ask for links to copyrighted material. Do not post copyrighted material. Do not link to illegal software. Do not ask for or offer any software or intellectual property that belongs to Microsoft, Inc.
    29. As a member, you understand that is an independent publication and has not been authorized, sponsored, or otherwise approved by Microsoft, Inc.
    30. Moderators and Administrators have the final say when it comes to closing threads, member bans and administering the rules of this forum. If you should have any questions regarding the above policies, please consult the site administrator or a moderator BEFORE posting.

    These guidelines will be amended as necessary.
