Yup. It's prolly why they are giving the $25 deal.
Bookmarked. Thanks for the heads-up -- for me, this will be a must-have item.
Great! The only thing holding us back is the battery door - and we should have the complete solution within the next few weeks.
I'd be willing to pay a little more for this new extended battery if you make the battery door out of thicker plastic than the hair-thin stock doors. And if you make it fit real nice so it doesn't feel like it will randomly fall off at any moment...
That's exactly what we're working on. It should feel like a piece of original equipment - with a VERY secure fit.
I was getting horrible battery also. I turned off agile and forwarded my ims to be received by text message (thank you 2000 free sms). I have a thread and will post later today how much battery life i received with out having Agile running. I have had it unplugged sine 8am and have only seen 1/4 battery loss or so. Big improvement. Still think I need the extended though.
Will the 3200mAh battery be larger than the Motorola extended battery?
Yes sir, it will. There was just no way to keep the same form factor due to current technology constraints. We will be supplying a battery cover with it.
Hi sorry if this is a silly question, but I am getting my Q on saturday and was trying to learn how to conserve some battery on it. What is the IR beam and how would I turn it off to conserve?
IR is the same thing your TV remote uses. The manual you get with the Q will tell you how to turn it off. Just remember the 'Settings' folder will be your friend for the first few days of ownership! Have fun.
will the seidio extended battery cover match sprints color q?
they are supposed to have a Sprint extended battery cover any week now according to a post on another site by a Seidio employee.
Awesome. I just bought one. Hope it helps. Because I have the extended battery (1640 mAh) for my Q that I got the day I purchased it and it still does not have enough juice to keep it powered all day, even with limited use. Really, really unacceptable to me.
I agree with this. Every phone I have ever had, I buy the extended batter for it right off the bat. But even w/extended batt, I don't feel like it lasts long enough.
I've shut off bluetooth for now and will turn it back on when I'm in the car. IR beam was off already. Will investigate this thing about leaving apps open.
But again, I had an iPAQ and didn't have to worry about any of that crap and the thing ran strong long enough to where I'd actually forget to even charge it.
Thank you very much. Let me know how the new battery works out.
