Where did you find that map?
it was emailed to me from within USCC..
Does the part that was emailed to you show OKC?
it does not, sorry just IA, IL, and WI...my contact works this region...
Okay, thanks anyway.
ill verify that there is now evdo in sw iowa. its working great for me here in glenwood. (near omaha)
WTF US Cellular, they apparently don't care about east central IL. Big US cellular customer base out here, plus a university that caters to Chicago residents, and they give all of Iowa EVDO before us, if we even get it at all. I'm so pissed at them I'm considering finding a new provider. Oh but my parents are getting it in my hometown of 2000 people, 40 miles from ANYTHING!
you r on the list... uscc will be turning up EV in other markets this summer...rumor has it maybe June 1 so make sure to *228
its coming..turning up EV is not a simple process...
It's not indicated on your map though. If we're getting it out here, it needs to be soon because my contract is up in 6 weeks. If I don't have EV by then I'm switching to sprint or more likely AT&T. I'm tired of having only 2 bars in a city and trying to use mobile internet is slower than just walking home and using dsl.
I feel your pain. OKC is not on the map for EVDO this year. I hate to say it, but it may be time to jump ship just to get modern phones and high speed access.
Anyone around Southwest Virginia? They told me June but I haven't seen anything yet.
I finally just got EVDO here in western Wisconsin.
Ev-do is live
My USCC store told me July 6 for the midwest, but it's live now here in western IL.
I'm in Northeastern NC and they say we'll have it by the end of summer according to my local paper.
Spoke with a saleswoman yesterday in Peoria, IL. She said it's coming on in three weeks, but she has no idea about Eastern IL, so that map that jeepon02 put out earlier had the date wrong but the coverage was probably accurate. Someone mentioned on here months ago that it supposedly should be on for all USCC network area by the fall, so I've given up hope till October.
Its official...I got EVDO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tulsa, OK is live with EVDO and has been for a while, however, just recently I've been seeing the "EV" pop up on both my USCC phones when I'm in certain areas of my house. I'm approximately 80 miles north of Tulsa just across the KS/OK border. It also appears to be fairly consistent in Bartlesville, OK as well.
Hopefully, it will continue to "bleed" north and eventually encompass SE Kansas:thumbup:
In OKC, I gave up and went with Verizon. Upgraded to a Samsung Omnia.
Love the speed, love the device. So far so good.
my Q9c picked up the 3G network. just had to *228 it, and it fixed it on the spot. i'm in Dublin.
Still waiting in Central Oregon. A tower tech told me early next year.
