    try searching for "counter" or something... it has been discussed a few times and most likely your issue is that the .xml is using the wrong plugin.

    The issue is that the plugin you are using to check the email is only checking your activesync and not individual pop3 accounts you may have programmed in the phone.

    The xml for the plugin should look something like this based on your description:

    <plugin clsid="{62E5C279-1E55-4bbb-95DA-D576093C23BE}" name="MessageCount" height="20">
    <background>
    <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/>
    </background>
    <label>
    <text lang="0x0409">Email <unreadMsgs name="ActiveSync" /></text>
    <text lang="0x0C0A">Email <unreadMsgs name="ActiveSync" /></text>
    </label>

    If you change the line:
    <text lang="0x0409">Email <unreadMsgs name="ActiveSync" /></text>

    to:

    <text lang="0x0409">Email <unreadEmail /></text>

    The Email counter will show the count of all POP3 + ActiveSync

    Hope that helps

    I just did that to a T and it's still not showing the mail count on the main screen. I'm using the default sprint layout and modified sprint.home.xml. Thats correct, isn't it?

    Repeating what Scott asked earlier... post your xml code for the msg counter
    so we can see what your code looks like, and which modified sprint home page
    are you using?

    I must have misunderstood... Rudeboy was right, if you are using the full.home.xml page it calls a different plugin then the one needed to display the count as you are asking for.

    The full.home.xml (sprint) looks like this:

    <plugin clsid="{8486CC1E-025B-4888-9C76-048DF7C1787D}" name="msgcount2" height="25" autoheight="false">
    <background>
    <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/>
    </background>
    <mail account="sms"/>
    </plugin>
    <plugin clsid="{8486CC1E-025B-4888-9C76-048DF7C1787D}" name="msgcount2" height="25" autoheight="false">
    <background>
    <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/>
    </background>
    <mail account="activesync"/>
    </plugin>
    <plugin clsid="{8486CC1E-025B-4888-9C76-048DF7C1787D}" name="msgcount2" height="25" autoheight="true">
    <text padding-bottom="5"/>
    <background>
    <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/>
    </background>
    <mail account="others"/>
    </plugin>

    you could change it to this:

    <plugin clsid="{62E5C279-1E55-4bbb-95DA-D576093C23BE}" name="MessageCount" height="20">
    <background>
    <format state="selected" bgcolor="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT"/>
    </background>
    <label>
    <text lang="0x0409">Email <unreadEMail /></text>
    <text lang="0x0C0A">Email <unreadEMail /></text>
    </label>
    <label>
    <text lang="0x0409">Text Messages <unreadMsgs name="SMS" /></text>
    <text lang="0x0C0A">Mensajes Del Texto <unreadMsgs name="SMS" /></text>
    </label>
    <label>
    <text lang="0x0409">Voicemail <unreadVMail /></text>
    <text lang="0x0407">Voicemail <unreadVMail /></text>
    </label>
    </plugin>

    That will give the display you are asking for in the full.home.xml
