Okay, so it's not NoDo, but there is some joy in getting an update. We know it's staggered, but has anyone received the update yet?

    Nothing here yet.

Nothing here, Belgium (probably doesn't matter which country you're at but who knows we'll see a pattern)

I have no idea where you see sync settings and update. Can you explain where you have found this(as much info as possible)

I tried that and says my phone is up to date at 7.0 (7004) :(
    Jens Veraa,
It's in the Zune software on PC: settings/phone/update

I saw the official Windows Phone Twitter account retweet someones tweet about their phone being faster.

How is that even possible? Something about the February update making their phone faster?

This was like waiting for Santa at Christmas and he just arrived in Western Canada. My update took approximately fifteen minutes with the backup process taking the longest of the ten steps. All in all it was very smooth and agree with some of the reports and can say that my Focus is noticeably faster loading apps. Bring on the next update.....

Are there any speed improvements with the OS/Interface itself?
What about the speed at which the People hub loads the Facebook posts and the Photo hub with loading photos?
I also read that the Marketplace interface has dramatically improved.

Now I'm getting the update (I only connected it to my pc, no notification on the homescreen)

Oh yeah.. I have a Samsung Omnia 7, as almost everyone knew by now I'm not the only one who's having trouble.

    # stuck at step 7, 100% backing up for almost an hour..

    # Closed Zune after one and a half hour. Unplugged it , turned it off, removed battery, booted. (LUCKILY it didn't brick the phone and everything is as how it was about 2 hours ago)

So we should all wait on updating in fear of the brick?

If you own a Samsung device, I advice you to wait :)
    It was such a relieve:
    1. It did not brick the device, I sure did not want the take it in for a repair
    2. I did not have to hard reset the device.

But if you have another device, it -normally- wouldn't be a problem.

I went to settings/phone/update on my Zune. It says "Your phone is up to date. Current phone software version: 7.0 (7004)" On the other hand, my Samsung Focus has yet to show that an update is available. Must I wait for this?

BTW: I am not receiving email notices when I get hits on my posts, as I did in the past. I checked settings and all is ok. Can someone suggest if there is there anything I can do?

I think you just have to wait your turn, it is all gradually been pushed to everyone.
But be careful, I see you have a Samsung. Both users of the Omnia and Focus have had troubles (not everyone) with the update process.

    I just found this article:
Issues with the pre-NoDo update has been affecting Samsung Omnia 7 and Samsung Focus users, some to the degree that they needed to get warranty replacements from their carrier. Speculation on the cause has been wide, and more recently has centred on the firmware in the handsets, with versions JI9 and JJ4 experiencing problems, while the JK1 firmware appearing to be OK.
At the moment we suggest affected readers sit tight and wait for a hopefully fixed fix.
Now may be a good time to look at the magnitude of the problem.

‘Samsung update issue’ fix likely coming in 3 days

    Thanks Jens:

Sounds serious. You seem to be knowledgeable. I am not. SO, what do you suggest that I do? My firmware shows as "2103.10.10.1" [IMG]
