Deleting all contacts

    Deleting all contacts

    Is there a way to completely delete all the contacts from the moto Q9c... with out using you pc???

    Master Reset will get rid of em all... That is unless you had any apps and other stuff you wanted to keep, then it may be a wee bit over the top.

    yea that's the problem i don't loose my apps... if i delete the pim.vol file will i just be able to add contacts on just like normal again?

    you cant really delete the pim.vol file
    you can delete them one by one in the contacts menu of the Q

    how about syncing up with outlook, then after making sure active sync is set to desktop overwrites handheld, delete all contacts in outlook, then sync again. i think i did that on my 2nd Q9.

    try moving it to someplace, a new blank pim.vol will instantly pop up

    used resco to move it

    that's what i thought should be possible...

    (once again, as discussed a few weeks back... too often the most drastic is offered as first response, do an MR)

    its a ROM file...wont let you delete it
    and not only that...its always in use

    rename pim.vol to pim2.vol (you can do it while it's in use through the built-in file manager) then restart phone. New pim.vol will be there with no contacts, then you can delete pim2.vol or back it up. Whichever you please.
