    CoPilot Live on Q9C????

    Hi Guys,

I'm brand new...tried to search for an existing thread on this but couldn't find. I just bought CoPilot Live and installed on my Moto Q9C, but it says "No GPS Signal." I am not very techie, but I do have the GPS feature of the Q turned on...any ideas? Do I need a receiver? I didn't think so.

    Thanks.

I am on Verizon so I can tell you that if you are on Verizon, the GPS is 100% locked (unless you use VZnavigator). I don't know about other carriers.

On the Verizon Q9's you need an external bluetooth GPS receiver. I used Copilot on my Q9m/c for years with one. I got mine on Ebay. The CoPilot site used to make a special "Q Edition" that included a Bluetooth GPS Receiver. GPS on Q9c is carrier locked.

I am on Alltel. Under the GPS setting of the phone, I changed from 911 Only to Location On and it shows a new "gps" icon in the upper part of the home screen.
