    "Contacts" button goes missing.

Ok, I'm referring to the "contacts" button that is just above the on/off button, across to the right from the "start" button.

When I have a vmail or email, it displays "messages" instead of "contacts". Other than going through all the messages, is there a way to make that button stay "contacts" at all times?

no...contacts will only show on the homescreen. but you can access the contacts to add them to an email or text message.

That button does switch on the homescreen depending on whether you have unread messages. I do not know if there is a way to hard code it to stay contacts.

However, contacts can be accessed through your start menu. So you can add a speed dial to the contacts (I picked 5). That way I just hold down 5 to get to them instead of using the RSK.
