Change gray bars to black on homescreen?

On my Verizon Q I use the "Default" color scheme but I'd like to change the gray bars at the top and bottom to black. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

is that how it works ? always wanted to try this but a questions comes to mind, does it effect -possibly override- the color scheme in the home screen.xml ?

um...it changes the bars (obviously) and changes the background and text of the menus (ie: settings, homescreen etc.) but not the actual homescreen

well yea if your using that 'color scheme'
since your changing the scheme in the homescreen menu it will override the actual xml files scheme...for those menus but not the actual homescreen...probably coded that way

Thanks for the discussion...I've had blacksoftkeys.cab for a while and hadn't bothered to find out how to use it. I like it with Black Mesh and Facade.

    Always finding something new....Fred

I wanted to see the code for the BlackSoftKeys so I downloaded the BlackSoftKeys.scheme.xml to my computer, but there's no code.

    Where is it?

Yep, there's a _setup.xml which installs this by writing to the registry.

I was thinking about making White Soft Keys.

    ah i see....
what you can do is search for color schemes...a member put some colors together...maybe something there can give you what you need...
