Can't get rid of a font I put in windows

I copied a ttf file into windows folder. I keep trying to delete it but it keeps coming back. Like a stray chihuahua, damn thing just won't go away. It's so annoying! I unlocked the registry using ceRegedit, then I move the ttf file to storage card. Then I deleted it. Checked windows folder - nada, not there. Checked SD card - nada, not there. Rebooted phone, checked windows again - boom, it's back. How do I get rid of it??? I tried deleting it several times using said method but nada!

I still have that annoying LCD font from NRG in the browser. If I delete it with this method will it screw up anything?

unless you're still using the nrg panels, then no. it should go back to windows default font.

I still use the NRG Miniweather. But it doesn't use the font. I never really found an answer to its removal from PIE. It's turned off in the options.

I think I read somewhere that the system will use fonts in alphabetical order. So if you have ariel and roman times, the system will default to ariel. So I guess whatever the nrg digital font was called, it's at the top. I could be wrong though...

Well the LCD font is just called LCD.ttf. There's plenty of others that start with letters before "L" so I'm not sure.

Where is it located? Windows root folder or fonts folder?

The root folder. Actually all the fonts with ttf format are in the root Windows folder. my Fonts folder is empty.

Well you got me there. I'd like to know how a font takes precedence over others and how does it get tied in with pie. Coz that was my problem too - I had a digital font I was trying to use for my HS and it ended up in pie instead.

Exactly. I kinda remember a fix coming up in the pages of the couple of Sliding Panel and CHome Configurator threads, but I've looked a few times and never found them again.
