I put a sim card adapter in the phone, but did it upside down. When I pulled it out, it broke one of the three connectors. Not sure what I can do with it now. Called AT&T and they are "checking my options". Hoping that doesn't mean pay another $400.

Ouch, good luck with that. I would probably shed a tear if that happened to me heh.

I'm finding that there aren't many options with a busted phone. The answer they gave me last night was, "buy a new phone".

Did you get insurance for it? if not then I would try to sign up for it in your ATT features page. Hopefully you can still submit a claim for a damaged phone.

That sux. Look at the bright side, everything, but the phone, is still usable with a Wifi network. I wouldn't say you've lost a phone, but gained another Zune HD with SAMOLED ;)

Exactly. AT&T's warranty group were supposed to call me yesterday after talking to Samsung. They never called back, so that's not good. Maybe I'll get some good news on Monday.

Well, it's on it's way back to Samsung. It'll probably cost me to fix it, but hopefully it's significantly less than what I paid. Shipping out today.

Just received a confirmation from Samsung's repair depot that it's been received. Just in time for them to go on vacation. Maybe next week some good news.

Thanks! We'll see if it costs me. I'm going to assume that Samsung has the ability to fix a broken copper sim connector.

Called today and they basically said they received it -- and that it didn't have "physical damage". I think that means they have agreed to fix it, but I'm not sure. Hoping to see an email in the next day or so with an update.
