Is it necessary to kill the programs after using one or should it be done daily or what? By killing the programs, it won't prohibit you from accessing them again, right?

I tried disabling the IR and I turned off the Bluetooth when not using it... but still having problems with the charge. I did this with my new Motorola battery yesterday and this morning, was down to 2 bars.... :frown: And I didn't even use the phone.. no calls or text messages, nothing. I just don't get it.:embarassed:

The receptiom is pretty good. Does that effect battery life? I hardly use the phone and the battery discharges even if I don't use it for texting or calls.

I haven't downloaded that and not sure I have the cable to sync to my pc. I bought the phone from someone. I'll check the box for the cable.
    Thanks

Download the software update from Motorola. I did and my battery life sky rocketed. I was charging it everyday.

Where do I find the download? Directly on a Motorola site?

Just go here and follow the instructions to update the software.
What it does is downloads a program (Motorola Software Update) to your computer, and you will use this for all future updates.

If you do the software update, doesn't that reset the phone back to factory settings? Won't you lose contacts & ringtones and all installed applications?

Yes, it will erase all personal information from the phone. It's best to make sure that you have backup copies of everything before you do it. Or buy a copy of sprite backup for the easiest solution.

I thought Candlelight was an upgrade or an additional piece of software aimed at diminishing the power the phone uses for the display, thus increasing the battery life? Why would adding software reset the phone?

Sorry if I was not clear, IQTOO. Paco understood. Adding Candlelight won't reset phone, but doing the software update from the Motorola site will.

Installing caldellight won't reset the phone, but using the Motorola Software update program (updating the software version of the phone) will.
