    Basic Question about homescreen

On my homescreen I see a left/right arrow in the top right corner near the battery indicator. What does this indicate and why is it just about always there?

I question this too...something to do with service indicator...like data transfer or what. Sometimes I get a "Y" indicator which I assume is antenna. No info for this in the manual.

Guess it's time to call Verizon.

The arrows indicate data transfer, but I believe it is buggy.

When you first turn on the phone, you'll get the Y looging antenna symbol.
Now fire up the internet browser, or have it check gmail or something.
The arrows pop up to show data tranfer, but when your're done, it doesn't go back to the Y antenna symbol.

I even turned off auto email check, and killed the browser, the arrows stay until the phone is booted, even if there is no data tranfer going on.

    Just my observations.
