Anyone's chrome paint on the D-pad wearing off?

After having my Q for a while now... I'm noticing that the chrome paint is beginning to wear off on my Q9C, especially on the center button. The paint on the function button on the side of the handset is beginning to wear off too.

I know it's kinda small... but I'm just curious to know if anyone else is having a similar problem?

Yeah - The coating on my ctr button is almost all gone but it is chrome or silver underneath so it's no biggie for me.

That happened to me also. It was on the circular directional pad and the look was really annoying me. So I arranged for my Q to have an replacement worthy incident.
Now i wipe off the pad everynight with a soft cloth..just in case it had something to do with the chemicals from sweat etc etc.

I keep mine in a "skin" that covers it. No peeling here (thank goodness... I am too protective of this phone) and I have it since May 2007...

Been almost a year of use and I haven't noticed any wear of paint. Just some very minor ships on the silver border. But I have case covering that now.

Yes, but I've got the Q9h and it's peeling on the directional pad, not the center button. I thought it was cracked at first and I did start a thread about it at the time.

That's it! I'm accidentally going to put my Q j-u-s-t behind the rear tire of my truck and back the truck up, accidentally of course, going back & forth several times b/c I couldn't figure out what that "crunchy" sound was!!

Hmmm, I would love a shiny new Q, but I would have to pay $50 and still loose all the music I downloaded. Seems too risky to me.
