Any way to auto-lock the keypad after period of inactivity?

Is there any built-in way or any software that will automatically lock the keypad after so many seconds or minutes of inactivity?

In your settings, under "security" you can set the lock. It uses a PIN number. Any key that gets pushed after your choice of time, brings up a "Please enter code to unlock page"

I suspect there is a way to lock the keypad, but I haven't found that yet.

tree'd by winotree, with the same result from different angles.

Well, that's mostly what I'm looking for.

    1) I want the phone to lock within seconds rather than minutes.

    2) Also, I don't want to have to enter a pin number every time I want to use it. I want it to act more like the "Home+Space_Bar" lock where you just have to press "unlock+*" to unlock the keypad.

    lock vs "keyguard"

Two different "locks" here. My old Treo had a "auto keyguard" setting...this would require the press of the center navigation button after any other key was pressed...it prevented keys that got pressed in you pocket etc. from doing anything. Is there anything like this on the Q9m?

I find on the Q9m, if you set a secrity code...after the time selected, and the phone locks...pressing any button will request a code...then time out. This kind of does the same thing...just requires a code rather than simply hitting a second button.
