    ALK Copilot software

Wondering if anyone has had any experience with ALK Co-Pilot software for the smartphone? I am looking for some soft of GPS addon for my Q but dont really want to spend $225 plus dollars. Is there something that works just as well that might be a little more affordable. Thanks.

Check out Mapopolis at www.mapopolis.com. Don't let the site scare you away, it is a very solid navigation program. You pay only for the maps, the software and all updates are free. Check out their forums on www.gpspassion.com to learn more.

You can also download a fully functional demo with a couple maps. It is slightly less polished than Copilot (mainly around map selection and lack of a 3d view) but is faster and more powerful. A far as I know, it is the only software that lets you do coast to coast navigation and planning all from your smartphone. I own both and regularly use both of them. I think I prefer Copilot, but I'm not sure if I prefer it $150 more...
