"About" in Settings not recognizing MiniSD memory...

:frown: My Q doesn't want to recognize the SanDisk 2Gb card I just recieved from Amazon. When I navigate to the "About" section in the settings, it still states that I only have 52MB Total Storage (with the card inserted properly into the MiniSd slot) , yet when I go to the File Manager, it shows a folder called "Storage Card" that wasn't there before i inserted the card.

Does the About section just not represent the actual amount of storage that there is, or do I have to do something with the File Manager to activate the 2Gb card somehow?

oh, and if something has to be done remotely, must it be done with a PC (i'm on all macs)

    Thanks in advance,,

go to Start (on the Q) > System Tools > Memory Manager. if the card shows up as storage card (which is good) you should see it in there.

with the card inserted go to...start...system tools...memory manager...
that should tell you the actual storage size left...if its still off try to format the card...

great. thanks a lot! it's there.

one more Q: does the Q automatically fill up it's device storage before going to the card storage?

if so, is there a way to defer to the card as a first priority?
