    A theme I put together

Here is a theme that I built for my Q home screen if anyone is interested.

Ok. I have uploaded both the theme file, and the preview jpeg to the forum using the paperclip / attachment function on the forum. Hopefully all goes well and everyone will be able to better download from here.

After downloading this file, copy it to a directory on your Q that you can get to using the file browser app on the Q. Browse to the Cerulean.hme file, select File=>Open, and the Q should install the theme.

    Enjoy...

And here is another, simply entitled... Q

Title says it all. Same installation instructions.

Edit: If you downloaded this theme before 11:15 am CST, and have a problem with the highlights not showing on menus, please download again and reinstall the theme. I unfortunately discovered this only after I had made the theme available. Sorry for any problems. - G

    Great Work

I appreciate the effort and will be 'test driving' the themes out soon.

I am about as artistic as a chimp, so I will be relying on everyone else for Themes.

There are a lot of customization discussions going on over in the QUsers.com forums (Chris, I hope I'm not being politically incorrect for mentioning another forum).

You can also find custom home pages on SBSH's Facade forums. Facade is an application for adding functionality to the home page.

Many users have uploaded XML files and graphics images to keep you busy for a while.

After purchasing Facade (and FizzWeatherSP for the weather plugin), reading the discussions on these two forums, and brushing up on my XML, I have made my own home page that does everything I need.

No, that's cool. If a member posts a URL that is useful and helps out the community, then it's not a problem. I take issue with advertising posts and "first posters" that say "visit my site for info".

I do hope that we see more posts here with custom home screens and wallpapers.

Here is a rather -major- upgrade to the "Q" theme up above. I have changed a lot of stuff. Upgraded wallpaper, transparent icon bar, settings, bluetooth manager, file manager, task manager, tasks, and calendar all launchable from the desktop / home screen. Definitely worth the download, if I do say so myself . Unfortunately, no preview this time. If anyone can tell me how to grab a screenshot of the home page, I will happily post one up.

    To Install:
    1) Unzip the files to a directory of your choice.
    2) Plug your Q in, and click on the "Explore" button on the toolbar.
    3) Click on "Mobile Device" ( or whatever it is )
    4) Navigate to Application Data\Home
    5) Drag and drop the files from the zip file into this directory.
    6) Go to Start->Settings->Home Screen on your Q.
    7) Select "The Q Full Layout" for your layout, <default> for your color scheme, and <default> for your background.
    8) Hit "Done" and return to your home screen.

    Enjoy!

Love the concept, now just push me in the right direction

i like the idea of a quick link like this (or the speed dial as discussed in prior threads)

the questions is, how do I add and subract the programs I want?

    thanks

You would edit the xml file and replace/add the appropriate start menu shortcuts.

thanks for the new homepage! I like it! Curious how you made it? So if I do get in missed calls I'll know it right? I love the look of this new homepage.

    Thanks!

    Excellent!

Thanks a lot for this. I've never used xml before and it was real easy to customize (once I figured out I need to open xml with wordpad.)

Modified xml of the XP mobile screen. You need Facade and Fizz weather.
