Exactly the same here.
Windows XP Home Standard SP2
ActiveSync 4.5 (Drivers)
Motorola Handset Drivers v3.5
RSD Lite 4.1
I used Vista Ultimate and had RSD LITE 4.1. Everything worked fine.
I tried the following:
Vista Business 32bit, all updates
...for some reason it just didn't work, so I tried my roommates lappy:
XP Pro SP2
It worked.
XP Pro Custom with SP3
Worked like a charm, first attempt.
XP Pro SP3
RDS Lite 4.1
It worked but locked my mobile as i am in UK and using O2.
I purchased the IMEI unlock code from ebay and now it is working ok.
Got it updated on the first try. RSD lite 4.1, on Vista Ultimate, with the phone drivers you linked to on your boards. One note, I did use the mini to micro usb adapter that came with my phone.
Vista home prem
used mini usb to micro usb converter
Everything went well except that 3G doesn't work anymore..Is it possible i downloaded the Euro version? Bandselect.exe doesnt show the US GSM versons anymore.
Vista Ultimate SP1 x86
Had to install updated drivers for computer to recognize phone in bootloader mode.
I initially got the infected RSDLite 4.1, and had no luck. Changed up for a clean version of 4.1 and upgraded to 6.1 with no issues.
New OS seems a "little" slower (almost unnoticeable), but overall I'm happy with it.
Reception is definately a lot better.
Windows XP SP3
RSD 4.2 (with patch)
Drivers unknown (3.5 I think)
Flashed beautifully, so simple a baby could do it (if perhaps the baby was gifted with the mind of a 13+ year old...)
Well, I'm off to see if I cant turn this new system into a brick :tounge:
Windows XP SP3
RSD 4.2 patched
Can't remember the drivers... the moto package I found here (3.5?)
The flash didn't work initially because I tried it without installing the drivers. The phone started back up into 6.0 after the failed flash (because it never really started), but it was a little bit of a scare. Once the moto package was installed, everything went like clockwork. Waited for the phone to start on its own and did no follow RSD in saying to restart the phone... or turn it on... or whatever the hell it said. Once RSD say's it's finished... let your phone sit until you hear that magical ActiveSync notice sound!
