sorry I should have specidied more. The little "chicklets" were on the newest versions of the Sprint Q. I have the newest version so it brings it. I was reading on the MOL3 Thread that once they update it also brings this. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Question: Cheri what do you mean listen to a call while they are leaving a voicemail. Did you have this optionon your Sprint Q because that sounds awesome.

    Chiclets

Then you've never heard of "chiclet keyboards", with their square, rubbery keys.

The gum probably got its name from "chicle".

    The Chicklets!!!!!

I finally got my Q so now I can show you guys the chicklets. This is what my screen shows when I start to type numbers. As you can see there are little CHICKLETS on the top with the number and the corresponding letters. I received my Q on monday so no doubt it has the newest software.

nope Steve i had not heard of the keys being called chicklets...only gum, considering its origin makes sense what the word is derived from.

When i learned keyboarding it was called typing ou had to type 60 wpm to even get on a computer. Computers were not a staple in any class not even in business lol. Call that 1986....

My phone has the "chicklets" (as i guess we are now calling them) when i dial, but when im in-call and they say something like "please enter the first 3 letters of the persons name" i am unable to tell which letters would go with which numbers. VERY annoying. Will those programs help for in-call letters? THANKS!

The one I specified does both which is why there are two files. I don't know what they will do on a Sprint phone or if the files are even named the same. I should have specified vzw.

    Hey all,

However, while IN a call, and prompted to enter an extension using letters, will any of the above programs work? or are the above programs/mods just for initial dialing...

    Thanks,

    Matt!

i have never used Spell N Dial but i know that if you run that dialpad.cab there are two images replaced on the Q, one in the make call screen and one in the in call screen.

    Rude,

The DialPad.cab worked perfect -- however, since my phone has the letter picture built into the dialing screen, which file would I delete to return that screen to default. I want to keep the 'in call' picture, however...

    Thanks,

    Matt!

I can't believe the Q9 still has this issue even after all the mol updates on the Q1. Obviously nobody at moto or vzw calls with these phones.
