    Sprint Billing/Computer Changes

I went to Sprint this morning to get my phone checked out due to a problem that I discuss on another thread. I was seen by a tech. in less than one! This is rare for service at Sprint. I gave the technincian my information and he asked to see my phone out of the pouch. He pulled up my information in the computer, sat the phone down and stated "Due to an upgrade to our billing, PCI and computer systems, we can't do anything with your phone until Friday! OK, what the #4@*&@* are you talking about! We are merging the information from one system to another. The merge started on the 15th and won't be done until the 22nd. OK, but I just saw you fix that other guys phone. The information merge is by phone number and this just happens to be the week that your phone number is being merged. OK, your pulling my leg right. No, you can't pay your bill, make changes to your account, and I can even write a service ticket for your phone until Friday. OK, so if I have a problem with my Treo and Internet card, what your telling me is that I'm out of luck until Friday?! Correct. OK, why didn't Sprint notify the customers of the merge and that it will affect service? I don't know, they were supposed to include the information in the last invoice that you received. Anyone having a similiar issue or have knowledge of this.

    Official Sprint Response!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got this when I tried to log into my Sprint account online.

    We’re sorry

We’re converting your account to our new billing system. During this time, you won’t be able to sign on to sprint.com or complete transactions through Sprint Customer Care or the automated voice system. If you send an account-related email to Sprint Customer Care, we will respond after the conversion is completed on February 22nd. But it’s worth the wait

Moving to our new billing system means you’ll:</B>
    • Receive our new, easy-to-read monthly bill
    • Get access to our redesigned account management website, where all the info and tools you need are right up front.
Please check back on February 22nd

At that time you will be able to:</B>
    • Sign on and upgrade your username and password to meet our new security standards
    • See our new and improved account management website. Take a tour now!
    Have a ringer, on us!

Due to this inconvenience, we’d like to give you a free ringer for your phone*! Just sign on to the Sprint Digital LoungeSM from February 22 - March 22 and use promotional code mysprint.

I actually did go through this a few wks ago. And that was definatly not a fun time. In the end bro, the only real thing you can do is wait until the stupid merge is done. the only thing I got was 200 bonus mins. Which I guess is better than nothing.

I received an email from them I believe in December or January explaining that they would be doing this and my account would be inaccessible. It did effect me the past few weeks when they were trying to upgrade my phone

    Master Reset

Since Sprint is gonna want to do it anyway, I'm going to do a Master Reset and see what happens. I'll be in school all day tomorrow, so it'll give me a chance to leave the phone alone for a while and see what happens.
