International Text Messages?! WTF?!
A few months ago I saw a strange addition to my online Usage Details: "International SMS". And apparently I've been firing off a lot of these.
This month I see a charge for the 21 I already "sent".
Only thing I didn't receive any International SMSs from "Great Britain" as the Joshua, Sprint CS Rep, says I did.
He can't see the number or block it without blocking ALL text which he was on the way to do o:
So the question is anybody else getting charged for this?

my daughters phone ahd the same thing just not so many. I called sprint and the person I spoke with said that she would block the international ones. I havent had anymore pop up so Im guessing she did as she said.

I don't have any international texts on mine. Weird that you guys got them.

wouldn't blocking international calls/numbers stop these?

does the sender have a 5 digit number?

We were getting charged from some incoming international texts that were coming in from GB. I think it was like 75 cents each or something. VZW removed the charges, and put a block on sending/receiving any text message that would pose a charge.

The CS rep I spoke to said there was no way to block international text without blocking all text which he was glady going to do.
I don't know the number. It doesn't show on last months bill and I'm not actually receiving any these text messages.
I'm going to call back during business hours tomorrow and see what somebody else says.
What time is the best to insure I get somebody "local"?

It is hard to say what Sprint can/will do but if you call during the normal 9-5 time, you are more likely to get an American, or at least a Canadian, on the phone. I'm sure that they can block just international messages, maybe the other guy just wasn't sure how to go about doing that.
