From what I was told...you can't be interrupted

Thanks,

What I was told over and over again through technical support was that the PDA's are not programmed to be interrupted whether you are in the EVDO or the 1X area. They are just not made to be interrupted by phone calls. You have to have no internet motion going in order to receive calls or they will go directly to voice mail. Regular cell phones you can be interrupted but not with the PDA Moto Q's

Both my Q and now Q9C do get voice if in EVDO but cannot in 1x. The CSR's generally don't know too much and either say what you want to hear or what will get you off the phone.

Oh My Gosh Fred, I would looooooove it if you could find (the time) that information for me. I don't use those features half the time because I am afraid I am going to miss a call from my children. When I signed up for the service the salesperson told me I could be interrupted but the I've spoken to over seven technical support representatives through Sprint and they said NO WAY does any of there PDA's get interrupted with phone calls while doing other things using the 1X or the EVDO internet.

To echo Dr. Q, this can happen while in EvDO but not while in 1x. Given my location I spend a lot of time in EvDO areas with excellent coverage. I generally do not use Sprint TV in 1x areas.

G: DDTM: OFF
This resets on any reboot, shutdown etc. So this is the best fix at the moment...Pull up your Field Test contact and flip it off real quick...
And for the 1x folks, your are going to have the VM issue with ANY phone out there on ANY carrier, like said previously this isn't a Motorola / Sprint thing, this is a Cell Phone thing...
But at least for EVDO, here in Chi-Town, I'm all set!

Hello, I am kind of new to this whole PDA technology thingy but I am loving it. I was wondering if you could tell me who is right and who is wrong when it comes to the advice that multiple technicians through Sprint have told me. Half say that I CAN NOT recieve calls while I am on the internet/sprint tv/navigation etc...and the other half says that I CAN but they don't know how to direct me in doing so with my Moto Q 9C. I would love to be able to be interrupted. I am afraid to use my services because I am afraid I will miss a call from my children. Living in the largest city in New Hampshire I am not understanding why we are running off of the 1X as opposed to the EVDO, but we are. Does that have anything to do with the ability to recieve calls while I'm using my other features?
Thank you for your time,

Hello, I was trying your advice that you gave someone in regards to allowing calls to interrupt while being on the internet/sprint tv/navigation etc... and the voice on the other side said there is no such code. Could it be because I have a Moto Q 9C as oppose to the older model. I put in the the code you typed in. Any other suggestions
Thank you for your time

That code is for the Q1. Nothing can be done as you do not have an EVDO connection. If you get to an EV area then test it out. It will get calls. Or you can tell your kids to leave a message. Sprint TV and other streaming service are not going to work well in a 1x area.
You seem to keep asking the same question here and always get the same answer. If you want a bunch of different answers ask Sprint. lol
