Don't know what carrier you are on but yur cell should sync time and date automatically without adding an additional app. If you want one for your PC, here's a great FREE one that works GREAT !!! -Q

My provider is US Cellular. I assumed it would be in sync all the time like every other "dumb" phone I've owned. I set my alarm on my q this morning to find out it was at least 5 minutes off. Maybe I have something set wrong?

Well a five minute loss is sort of strange...assuming that your PC time is correct. If you sync regularly with your PC and you have your cell set to sync date and time, that should keep you more accurate between syncs. If you use D4 Time on your PC and have it update every hour or so OR each boot, ya can't be too far off. -Q

I don't actually sync anything with my pc (I really have no use to). How do I set it up to sync the time?

First off, I haven't yet found a WMo time prog yet but using MS Active Sync on your PC will allow you to sync all of your contacts, tasks, appointments, etc that are on your phone. If you have Outlook on your PC, all you need to do is DL AS from MS, create a partnership with you phone and VOILA! you're in. -Q

I use active sync to browse my phone (to put CAB files on it), but I don't actually use the Sync feature. Will just clicking the sync button sync up my clock?

I did find an app called SmartTimeSync that will sync the clock to an ntp server, just not automatically.

In the AS connection options there's a check box to have AS sync time and date with your PC but I'm not sure if it works without actually running AS cause I've never tried it that way since VZW is usually spot on. You can try it and see. Can't hurt, eh?

As far as time sync progs go, I was actually looking fo FREE ones but all I could find was $$$$ ones which sort of tick me off since time ought to be free anyway and usually is despite the issue that you are having. -Q .
