what do you mean by locked down? I'm not too familiar with the omnia but I saw that the new one has WM 6.1 and is upgradeable to 6.5. does the phone not allow you to use it the same way you would on the q9?

I guess people don't come on omnia boards very often.

sorry i havent been around. i seem to be the main one on this board. most people go to the saga because its the closest to the Q, it has a real keyboard. but yes.... the Omnia and the Saga can do everything and more than the Q9s. really, as long as you have windows mobile, the phones are all the same. its the same OS. the difference is in small features. i love my omnia... i wanted something the same, but different. so i went all touch screen. it fits great in my hand, pocket, life... it has an awsome camera, which i use all the time. 5mp. it also has an 8gb hard drive and a mem card slot up to 16gb. thats a lot of mem if you need it.

Thanks for the reply. I figured someone would finally respond. That's good to know. before the other da I didn't realize the omnia had Windows Mobile. Im very tempted to get the Omnia 2 when it comes out. im hoping they will announce a release date pretty soon. I'm very impatient if you haven't noticed. I will check ppcgeeks when I get a chance.
