Sending Pics/Vids in Text messages

for Alltel I'm 100% sure the only email address they use for their phones ends in @message.alltel.com

i'm shure it is but if you are out and about this comes in handy.you save their phone email to the contact and presto.or you can try and remember all of them but i'm not that good.

Wow.. I just realized this as well.. What a pain.

You figure that with the money you spend on the Q it should at least be able to do what phones less than half it's price can do. Such as... oh, I don't know.. Send pictures in texts? =\

This is true, but there's a sigificantly a lot more that phones half the price of a Q can't do.

basically, it all comes down to necessity. Most of us don't need this feature, but we would really like to see it. If your like me, you don't need this, you can live without it, all my past phones could do it, and because of the money i spent on this phone, it seems to me that I should also be able to do it on the Q. basically its just a matter of principal lol

I have looked through a ton of these forums to try to figure out how to send pictures through a text message. I have sprint and so far i have found out how to send pictures to other sprint phones. I set up my hotmail email and then would email to the phone#@pm.sprint.com and it works. the address below Sprint PCS#@messaging.sprintpcs.com did not work for me. I have also tried verizon. I have used Verizon#@vtext.com and it worked but the file only game through as the file name not the actual picture I have also tried the verizon#@vzwpix.com method and it didn't send at all. anyone have any other tricks to try with verizon???

Exactly. I share the same pain. Rumor has it, Sprint will eventually support universal MMS. It's really no big deal to me. Emails don't have text limitations, so you don't have to worry about broken up messages beyond 160 characters. Plus, if you don't have a text message plan, but have a data plan, you can have unlimited data access for pictures and email. All you have to do is get your buddy's phone email address - it's the 10-digit number plus...
