Mylar film lifting off soft keys

The mylar film that comprises the 3 buttons (left soft key, call button, home button - right soft key, back button, end call/off button) on each side is starting to lift off. I don't see how these can be reattached to like it is supposed to be. It just happened a couple of weeks ago on the left side and now I see the beginning stages of the right side starting to lift off. Anyone see this happen before and more importantly, have a way to fix this?

A new front cover? Explain? Does the whole panel go from left to right and includes the directional middle button area? How does one remove the old panel and replace the new one? Is this held down with adhesive that I can just add instead of buying a new front cover? Looks like there are little white dots that are supposed to snap in place as well as a white plastic hook thing that is supposed to seat in place under the hard plastic casing where the hard QWERTY keys are. Anyone else have more information on this that is a little less vague? Thanks.

I wonder if there is a guide demonstrating how the cover comes off somewhere.

I would rather not have to go this route if it is not necessary to either fix the mylar that is on already and maybe it just needs to snap in place, or a replacement can be snapped into place without removal of phone. The link above is basically for a whole keyboard replacement...

Here is the part I need to fix or replace.

The left side where the green call button is where it is lifting off and it doesn't seem to snap into place. Occassional a white plastic tab will also lift which is located under the mylar below the green call key. Not sure if this is just supposed to tuck under the casing or if it too needs to snap into one of those white dots under the mylar...

New phones are getting cheaper. There still isn't anything that beats a Q9c tho (OK! except a nap). Naps are $250. 9's are, what, $65? Buy a new phone.
