My Moto Q8 GSM is now running Windows Mobile 6.1

Hey guys,

Its been a long time since I've posted. You could all remember a few months ago I posted on how I bricked my phone trying to upgrade to WM 6.1

Well I got a bit gutsy last night and tried again with a different Rom and I was successful!! Took me a few hours to have everything working properly but now my Q8 GSM is running on WM 6.1!!

Whats funny is that I did all of that yesterday, and today is my birthday and my wife just spilled the beans and told me that my mom is giving me a new HTC tonight (dunno which model yet) LOL

Dude. I have a motorola Q8 and i want to know if you could post your step by step on how you installed windows mobile 6.1 on your Q8, or at least where you got your instruccions and roms. Thanx

First, this action is not official from motorola so, try this at our own risk.

***First.... u have to find this room: SMR300_G11.60.35I if your motoQ use a Radio version....

***Second.. Download a RSD lite 4.0 have to be this version becasue laters o newers does not work ok..

***the proces is simple is like if u will going to reflash a V3 or other phone, te problem is found the correct vesion of RSD lite, for some people works on version 3.9 other on 3.8. ....

****how i know im not using a correc version of RDS lite???
its simple u cant not reflsh the phone.. when the bar of progress stop on 80% o do not star... thats the reason of u have using an incorrect version.

Now u have to know when the process is finished the phone will be in Chinise languaje so, if u know the steps to change the languaje it will not be a problem, if not lucky!!

u have to save the settings of ur mms provider, and the internet, wap and proxy...
