Caps Lock First Gen Moto Q

Okay I've looked everywhere, tried everything and I absolutely can't get the darn caps lock off when I'm typing a text or e-mail on my Q. Occasionaly it will grant me 1 lower case letter in the middle of a whole paragraph. I know it seems rude to send txt and e-mails in caps. but I use my Q for work and I really don't have a choice, I need to send messages. Anyone have any idea? I'm stuck with my phone until Sept.

bottom left side of your phone has a button with the top half of a black circle or something.
when you press that does your caps change?

No it does not. It shows the icon for lower case but it will not type in lower case.

how long have you had the phone?
pull the battery for 15 secs and put it back in and try it again

and check your PM's

Done that too many times to count, it's not a new phone, I've had it a long time.

aside from installing qcaps and hoping it overrides the situation, I dont know what to tell you about a stuck key

Downloaded/installed qcaps. As soon as I downloaded it it told me my trial was expired. What's up with that? Can't get to the Qoolapps site. Link is broken, what's up with that? Confused, frustrated. Don't even want to consider a master reset. to much info on the phone form work, can't risk losing it. People will probably have to tolerate my seemingly rude txt and e-mail messages. double tap the up arrow that's under the enter key (right side, bottom)... look at the top right of your screen when in a text box (email/text)... if you see ABC then your in caps mode. If you see abc then your in lowercase mode. if you see Alt, then your in single alternate key mode, and ALT is always alternate key mode.

Im with Hockey on this as well... try a master reset and see if that helps.

daynurse, have you done a master reset in the past?
