    Automatic keyboard lock

I just swapped my old Treo 650 for a new Q. On the Treo, if I accidentally hit a button on the keyboard, it was no big deal because I'd have to hit the center control button to confirm I really wanted to use the phone. This was a great feature, which prevented accidental calls and other events.

I cannot figure out how to make my new Q do the same thing. It's starting to drive me nuts. Whenever the phone gets bumped, it goes into action. I want it to automatically lock immediately when not in use, to prevent that from happening.

You'd think that this would be a standard default feature on a non-flip phone.

Searched the forum, but didn't find anything on this issue. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

hold down the home key and either use the manual keyboard lock or set up a password and use the device lock....

you can also briefly hit the home key and immdeitaly hit the space bar afterwards, thats locks the key pad without the hassle of using a password unless, of course you want a password.

If you want the keylock like on the Treo's there is a freeware app, called Automatic Keylock that does what the Treo's did plus more...

You can set it with no password, it just automates the methods posted above.

    Thanks.
