Question ActiveSync continuously syncing

Hello all... this is my first post, but I've referred to this forum many times and have found a bunch of useful information. I'm hoping someone might be able to assist me with this question.

About a week ago, I noticed that my phone started syncing all the time. Upon initially discovering this issue, I shut the phone down and pulled the battery, but to no avail.

Would anyone know what might be causing this?

It syncs everything all the time, as far as I can tell.

Perhaps I should clarify. It is set up to sync only "as items arrive". However, it is in a continuous sync state. It is burning my battery power at a VERY rapid rate. Maybe this is a silly question and I should just be happy it's syncing. *sigh*
