As for getting the existing file onto the Q, plug the Q in to your PC and copy the .ICL to the Windows directory on the device.
Edit the links you want to change like so:
21#:MSPIE?qicons.icl,-13

yes, i figured that out and didn't mention in since i thought it was obvious :} never the less i still have the same issue.

TNX that was helpfull some people got this "if somebody helps you, thank them. click theicon under their post." but they never use it .
i must be plain dumb because i cant figure this out. i got the icons loaded on angelo..added a couple new ones replaced the ones that were already there and renamed them to the previous number. deleted the old ones out and saved the .icl file. now the file is copied into the windows folder of the Q and then......wtf do i do? am i suppose to browse and find/edit the shortcut through my computer or through the q? if so could you help me out because im just clueless atm. thx
@ Bert: you have to edit the .lnk files that are in your \Windows\Start Menu folder, i do it on the Q (copy them to my temp directory, edit them and copy them back. you can look with Microangelo what number the icon is.
then change the content of the .lnk file which looks like this:
21#:MSPIE?qicons.icl,-13
the "qicons.icl" is the file containing the icons and the -13 is the number of the icon. hope this helps...

when i tried to copy the files from the Start Menu to the Temp folder in the Q, i get a Access Denied error =(
unset the system file attribute..
