it's motorola's forum. and since installing the Q9c rom isn't supported by motorola, we don't talk about it there

using RSD lite (let alone installing the Q9c rom to a Q9m) isn't something that Motorola intends for you to do. so they don't provide support for it if something goes wrong. since it's a motorola site we play by their rules

Okeee-Dokeee . . . I'll relieve your angst. You can call a "c" a "c" and you can call a "m" a "m" BUT, other than the red trim vs the silver trim they are internally exactly the SAME phone. VZW simply released to two of them so that one, the "m" would appeal to those who preferred more multimedia content, while the "c" was released for commercial or "business" oriented use. When flashed, the "m" truely IS a "c" no matter what you want to say that it is. At Motorola, it is seen as a "c" so as I have said, the only diff is the red trim vs the silver trim. It is/was VZW's choice to release or not the 6.1 upgrade with all the multimedia "stuff" in it but in any case, the phones are the same...sorta like identical twins even though one's name is Rick and the other's name is Bob. Essentially the flash is no different than any of the other hacks we all know and love. Motorola doesn't support the GPS hacks we all read about here nor most or all of the others so your point or the point that you are trying to make is ostensibly moot. Vis-a-vie, sorry man, you have no point. -Q

or you just missed it. I would explain, but then I would be repeating myself.
I know that they are essentially the same phone. but Motorola Software Update will not install the Q9c update on a Q9m. Because the forum I mentioned is run by motorola we do not discuss hacks there. other than to say that if you do hacks and have problems it's on you
