Favorite Call Timeout Hack!

Finally!

Posting it to make sure I can find it again in the future... one of my favorite hacks of all time.

Ever get annoyed at the delay when a call ends and find yourself pressing the 'End Call' button over and over again?

Well no more!

Create the following DWORD value:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone\
CallProgressIdleTimeout = 1000

I set mine to 1000 (milliseconds) because I want it gone fast. You can set it however you like.

Enjoy!

Caution: Can be a wealth of info, or make your brain hurt:

Interesting. I know the feeling!

How'd you find it?

I just tried it and it works!

I first set it to 10000, made a call then hung up, then set it to 1000, made a call then hung up and the differnce was obvious.

No reboot needed between changes.

Nice hack!

Glad you like it... I was starting to wonder if I'd ever figure it out again, I had it before MOL4 for Alltel was released then forgot what I did lol.

It's a great hack! :D

I have no way to test it but I don't see why not.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone\
CallProgressIdleTimeout = 1000

Once I got to phone, mine doesn't have the "callprogressidletimeout" listed ... I have a Q, just Q, (the grey one). anyone know if this hack is an option for me? I hate that delay after the call ends.
