Well after 2 full days and 2 long nights with the Omnia, I realize how "dumb" the WM Pro OS is! Well, OK, forgot, because I came to the Q's from a Samsung i730.

Why they just have not made the WM Standard OS "touch" also is beyond me. Honestly, WM Standard would make a much better touchscreen OS than Pro. I honestly beleive the only real, good, touchscreen phone is the iPhone with the Storm coming in a distant 2nd. WM Pro is just not finger friendly. It is if you are using 3rd party software like SPB Shell or Winterface, but once you get past those and you are into a regular WM program you pretty much have to use a stylus or on the Omnia, use the mouse cursor.

The Omnia is going back this afternoon. I am either sticking with my WM6.1 Q9m or may for the hec of it try the Storm. I really just want the Napolean! Just give me a Q with wifi (not on a sd card) so when I use my Redly the net rocks!

Rant over...
When I played with the Omnia at the VZW store I had to get my pen out to use as a stylus, so yea, it ain't very finger friendly. The clicky screen takes some getting used to on the Storm, and it gets hit with both the $30 data plan plus a $24/month "email storage" plan, for a $54 premium. Unless corporate is paying for it, I can't justify that much. For my $30/month I'd have the iPhone, enough with the pretenders. But I'm probably going to get the Q9c and save the $30/month since it will be grandfathered into the buy- by-the-drink data plan.

Order your Storm today! I just went in again for grins and today no data plan, no email storage, just the pay as you go option on the Storm. The Omnia still gets the data plan. Maybe I'll pull the trigger and see if they really come thru. I'd happily do the Storm without the 30 to 50/month extra. I think the data plan is really a subsidized phone cost, much like ATT & the iPhone. Since I don't use the data plan much I'm reluctant to shell out for it.

Nope, it was announced around July 4th as you know and then Verizon sold them for govt use only. Please download the flash and repost as a permalink since you moderate.

You need RSD Lite 4.1 or higher:Just hold * and # and the press the power button and hold then buttons till you see it say flash key pressed. Then flash with the RSD. I usually work with BREW so you guys can do more with this flash that I can for sure.

We dissect those SHX files all of the time at Howardforums, decompile them, move USCC and Sprint features to Verizon phones all of the time. Post there if you want answers tom that; I am just the messenger, but hope to contribute more to this forum as I enjoy my Q.
