its taking way too long! they havent had a descent new smartphone in ages. the q9c doenst count since its basically the q and q9 and q9m. but they keep coming out with all these stupid lg chocalate type phones. i guess verizon is now going for the teenage girl market and giving up the business market.

VZW is supposed to be getting the 800w - who knows when though. I have used an 800w - I set one up for someone and they are pretty nice.

I was looking into the 800w as well.. I heard the common problem with it would be battery life is weak. I guess one would have to see if its a problem on they're own personal usage. I was also looking into the Samsung i770 that should be coming out for verizon so they say. I just want SOMETHING. Come on Verizon, your customers aren't satisfied!!!

i would definitely consider the 800w, it both looks and feels nice plus the 320 x 320 screen is a very good size after using Q's for the last few years. i wish that the Napolean would have a bigger screen like the 320x320 but it seems like it will have the good old 320x240. i am also starting to get the itch for a touchscreen...

I have been trying to hold out to see if either of these phones came out on VZW. No luck yet so I bought a Q 9c. Hopefully if they do come out it is within 30 days so I can trade in. I have read good things about the Q so i am sure I will be happy with it.

I switched from the 700wx to the 800w.

From the 800w to the Q9c.

The 800 is definitely not "there" yet, if you need a phone and great reception.

Just my opinion after playing with both the 800 and Q9C... I still have the Q9C.

I'll more than likely move back to a touch screen device later, if they can beat moto in the reception territory.

Funny enough, I've had a touch screen device since the mid-90s but I don't miss it one bit. Moto Q9c with an exchange account and IMAP email... and great reception and pairs well with my BT device... I'm GOOD.

Hopefully VZ will also make palm put a larger battery in the 800. Std battery last about three to six hours. Terrible... Q9C under the same loads last two to three days.

Grass is not always greener on the other side...

Can anyone actually contact a higher power to see what the deal is? I tried asking multiple Verizon employees but they either don't know, or they aren't allowed to tell me anything. I just need a smartphone/pocket pc.. with wifi and good reception. Thats all I seek. Is that too much to ask? lol

I did hear that for sprint.. the 800w has an extended battery. But it puts a fat hunch back on the phone that is about as attractive as herpes. 3 potential phones with wifi... 800w, napoleon, i770... zero release dates.
