You know what....I don't care if mine looks like barney the dinosaur. Just as long as my phone works that's all that matters. It's not like I pull up the verizon wireless website to brag to my friends. Having the phone itself and in working condition is bragging rights in itself. Keeping my fingers crossed on getting it activated.

Here's another Nagger
May we have another update? I appears that we put in the request around Memorial Day and now it is the 4th of July. The first few users, Null, wnrussell and Q9Nap are the only ones in now. Motorola A4500 for Verizon owners on this batch are:
*
*
*
*
*
*
*
Etc.

Lol. I may not be psychic but I'm pretty sure that if there was an update to give you would have given it already. From everything I have seen so far you keep us as informed as you can with the information you have. I was pretty sure that this wouldn't be taken care of before the holiday weekend. I am a little hopeful for next week tho.

Very slow process...
Frustrating, but not silent.

Are there any details I can provide to speed up the process? Thanks -----Original Message----- From: [Tier3]@VerizonWireless.com Sent: Tuesday, July 07, 2009 8:04 PM To: Bill Russell <wnr3@russellstone.com> Subject: RE: Napoleon A4500 group I just received an email earlier asking for a few more details so it appears that they are working on them. I have not received any additional word back as of yet of the date that it will be completed.

Thanks for update. Still sounds positive so it's all a waiting game I guess.

Still at this, I now understand that Verizon Wireless has yet another avenue you can try for those still waiting. You must file a complaint on Planetfeedback.com and then you will hear about getting your complaint resolved:

I have an unbranded Telus V9m that would no longer activate so I wrote Verizon via PlanetFeedback, and Verizon Wireless Executive Relations called me back, discussed the problem and had it in the database within 2 business days. While this may not be foolproof and some may get denied, if you are desperate to get a non-VZW phone one, write VZW via PlanetFeedback. The woman who helped me went out of her way to make sure this got done, and I won't post any specific information here, as I don't want her to be bombarded by requests.
Alltel phones are currently in a state of flux because they are in Verizon's database, but they only will activate on grandfathered Alltel plans. I will talk to the rep further and see about getting Alltel phones onto Verizon plans.

I know this is a longshot but did you try doing a master reset on that phone? Not sure if that will help but it won't hurt unless you have a program or two to loose on there.

you did a MR and nothing? weird...try the Master Reset with the phone off, and then check your HKEYS to make sure there are no hard sys changes.
