    T Mobile T Zones $5.99 Data Plan & Q9H

    Hello!

I am now using an unlocked AT&T Q9H on the T-Mobile USA network and I am wondering if anyone on the forums has had luck getting the T-Zones $5.99 data plan to function with opera/IE Explorer. (I can not even get WAP sites to come up (like http://wap.google.com)

Thanks to customer support (Unsupported Phone Division) I have been able to get SMS Text (Send and Receive) and MMS Picture (Send & Receive) to work.

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Bump For T Zones!

Morning bump for $5.99 T Zones.

I know T-Zones and port 8080 will in fact work on a windows mobile device because my Tmobile Dash was able to perform full HTML browsing (not just limited WAP sites) over Internet Explorer.

I am also able to view full internet sites over my Nokia E70 Symbian smart phone utilizing tzones so I know there has to be a work around for this minor road block.

On a side note, I am able to send and receive SMS (TEXT), and MMS (PICTURE) messages. My only question mark is when I send MMS Picture messages, and Windows Mobile Pops a message saying "unable to send". The odd thing is the Picture Message was in fact sent. Not only was the Picture message sent, the message was sent multiple times (sometimes 10 or 20 times)

If anyone here has had any success with T-Zones (not t mobile total internet) please rattle off your setting so other Q9h owners can take advantage of a slow but functional data plan.

First Off I would like to extend a huge thanks to EQ Member k_Semler. Without his patience none of what I am about to share would be possible.

Go to Start > Settings > Connections > GPRS
Create a GPRS profile with following settings:

    Connects to: The Internet
    Access point: wap.voicestream.com
    User name: (blank)
    password: (blank)
    Authent type: None
    Prim. DNS: 0.0.0.0
    Secon. DNS: 0.0.0.0
    IP address: (blank)

Then go to > Connections > Proxy
create a proxy profile named "T-Zones Proxy" with following settings:
    Connects from: The Internet
    Connects to: Wap Network
    proxy(nameort): 216.155.165.50:8080
    type: http
blank for user name and password

Under Internet Explorer & Opera "Connections" make sure "Select Network" Reads > Wap Network

If you didn't get it working properly, PM me and I will forward the details I used.
