Default Reduce cost of Web Browsing

Hello, in you opinion, ¿which is the best web browser for the moto Q 9h?

The cell brought two: internet explorer mobile and opera. In both, I unchecked the option "download Images" but it seems to download them although they do not show the images (at least, that is what it seems).

For example, in opera, although I unchecked Download images, at the bottom you can see: Images 12/13 for example.

¿which is, in your opinion, the cheapest way to surf the web with the phone? I mean, which is the web browser that consumes the least.

Thank you

been discussed a few times.... in my opinion PIE works good for mobile browsing, people seem to want full pc browsing on a mobile device. if you really want to browse like a pc 1. use a pc or use Skyfire (which eats battery pretty bad) tried Opera once, but wasn't impressed (long time ago), Iris browser i tried last week, not a bad browser but no Skyfire..

use what you like, and what does what you need/want.

And I have the exact opposite opinion of rudeboy. I prefer Opera.

It seems to perform a little better, IMHO.

Try 'em both for a while, and pick one.

As far as data consumption is concerned, I believe pie and opera are the same. Both are accessing the same sites with the same protocols. The data really depends more on the site being downloaded than the browser itself. Unless you have skyfire, which probably consumes a whole lot more. I'm not an expert, but the way skyfire works is it requires a constant stream of data as opposed to the other two browsers, which only needs to download the page and it's done. So, with that being said, if your gonna do quite a bit of browsing, then I suggest getting the unlimited data package. I'm assuming you don't have it, because of your concern.

If you want a more definitive answer gauge your data when browsing:

settings/packet data
displays data sent, received and total

unless you can do WiFi then the upgrade to an unlimited plan may be the cheapest if you plan on doing a decent amout of surfing.

also make sure you got to mobile versions of the sites, this will reduce data transfer quite a bit

Concerning to Opera, I have a question: If you uncheck the option "Download image" within the menu "Show", then the browser download the image but not show it or definitely does not download it. Try what I say and you will see that the browser at the bottom says "image # of #".

I am confused, I do not know which one choose.

Thank you

No offense but browsing without a data plan is insane.
I've loaded pages that would cost over $5! For ONE page!

You can try Opera Mini which runs through a server and formats the pages for mobile use. But that brings about it's own problems.

i agree
surfing with out a data plan is pretty insane

your bill will be way higher than if you just got the cheapest data plan offered

+1. Get an unlimited data plan or be very limited on your mobile browsing. We have seen $1000+ monthly bills on this forum. Be advised.
