I was wondering if they had this option also. However, it is really pointless unless you were able to connect to your home internet connection via bluetooth. That way you could like surf the web in bed or on the couch. If your already USB'd into the computer its almost pointless to browse from your phone if your that close to a computer.
Connect active sync (via usb/bluetooth), then set your phone browser's connection to "internet".
Is that in the active sync settings on phone or pc?
1. connect active sync
2. change phone's browser (pie or opera) to connect to 'internet'
to verify that your not using your phone's data
1. hold down home button for a few secs
2. click on wireless manager
3. turn off phone radio
if phone radio is off and your phone's browser can still connect, then your using pc's connection.
The opera was already set as Connection: Internet, and it surf with GPRS. Are you sure of what you are telling me?
Do not I have to configure anything else at the computer nor the celphone, like Share internet connection or so?
Thank you
No other setting required. It's just that simple. By design, active sync will suspend phone data when connected.
If phone radio is off, then you are not connected to the network. So how can you send and receive data?
Try connecting opera, while radio is off and not synced to pc. You can't.
Try setting opera to 'wap', while synced. You will notice that it won't connect. That is because your home network is not configured to wireless access protocol.
