I really want these rumors to be true, on one of the other threads, they mentioned an FCC # : IHDT56HW1. Now, my Motorola Q9h has he exact same FCC ID. I bought mine of Ebay from Hong Kong, and it is an AT&T branded phone, with Bands 850, 900, 1800, 1900, 2100. Isn't that all the mobile bands?
It's on auto select, but as far as I can tell, they all work. I'm in australia and using Telstra, so I use the 2100 mhz mainly. I was really hoping that these rumors were true because, I did some digging myself, and found this.

I am pretty sure that that is the exact chip that the Motorola Q9h has. I'm not game to open my Q up but hey, if someone else is willing.
I'm using Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard and I too also found five references to wi-fi in my registry.
Windows\connmgr_wifi.cpl.xml 476b
Windows\connmgr_wifi_8021x.cpl.xml 386b
Windows\connmgr_wifi_security.cpl.xml 436b
Windows\connmgr_wifi_settings.cpl.xml 245b
Windows\connmgr_wifi_wizard.cpl.xml 1.8k (1918b)
I don't know much about this stuff, so if anyone knows anything?
These are all automatically opened with Opera but they are just blank documents.
If this is what I think it is, this is an engineering Q9h. The fact that it has WM6.1 on it doesn't surprise me, either.
From what I know, even if you did get the firmware off it, the bootloader on a normal Q9h (intentionally) won't boot it.
Yup, pretty sure that's what it is.
I've still got it by the way, if you want it make me an offer...my new job is a Verizon shop so I had to switch to an HTC Ozone.
Also in addition to needing another bootloader to boot the firmware, I think it might have anti-rom-dumping protections built in, which would explain the difficulty getting the ROM off it. I know some of the other devices did, not sure about this one...
Is there anyway at all to get wifi on the Q9h? if so can sum1 link me to a UK website that shows me how
And GPS?
I have Q9h, euro version i suppose... this have GPS? Have installed GPS software but did not find any gps. So it is not possible i have gps, right?
