How to Enable Band Selection.
I don't think this has been posted before.
The EURO Q 9h allows Band Selection in Settings/Phone/Network.
This option is not present in the ATT Q 9h.
Here's a simple registry edit to enable the item "Band Selection" on the ATT Network menu;
HKLM\Software\Motorola\Bandselect... EnableWithSpecialCode change value to "0".
(Reboot phone for implementation.)
Note that all bands appear to be available. (This is NOT the case with the EURO Q.)

Thank you, there was a post on finding an executable in the windows directory that would bring up this menu but this makes it more convenient.

Thank You Both!
The program in the windows directory is BANDSELECT.EXE. I'm in an area that switched constantly from 3G to E and it was aggravating how it affected the data connection. Now I can lock it on 3G only and life is great again. I cannot thank you both enough.
I created a shortcut to the utility with Total Commander and put it on the popup launcher in SmartToolkit.

Another way to select on Q9h (ATT)
Perhaps the easiest way to accomplish the same thing on the ATT Q9h is to enter in a secret code to enable band selection... Just do the following:
1. Go to Home Screen
2. Type *#1546792*#
3. You will see new screen that indicates that Band Selection was enabled
4. Now you can go to Settings/Phone/Network/Band Selection

what regeditor are you using? need to get one whaich is best?

I use "Simple RegEdit". Others have used different products. I can't say "It's the best" because it's the only one I've used.
While registry editing has the potential for disaster if done carelessly, the operations are, IMO, fairly straight forward, so I don't know how one would compare different programs anyway. (Others may have different opinions.)
