In active sync, go to tools> options and from there you can set the preference to be the contacts on the phone.
    I'm just sayin'

I am currently having problems syncing my contacts list. On my phone under the active sync menu the contact setting is unavailable to me. Is this because I have outlook express? The basic task I am trying to accomplish is to transfer my contacts to a new Q. Any help would be appreciated, and I'm sorry if this has been answered. I didn't find anything relevant in my search terms.

If you're simply trying to transfer your contacts to a new Q you can just copy the PIM.VOL file on your existing Q to your storage card, pop the storage card into your new Q, and overwrite the PIM.VOL file on your new Q with your copy on the storage card.

Can I do this with my date book also? Thanks for the answer. That seems like easiest thing to do. I wish I had thought of that earlier.

I guess that would be my first problem. Where do I find this PIM.VOL file? Also, how do I over ride the file on the new phone?
