    Active Sync and Windows XP

Hello, I am not being able to synchronize my Moto Q 9h with Active Sync of Windows XP. Every time I try, the process begins but afterall the computer gives a error message: "There was a problem obtaining the IP" and others things after a Test.

I have tried in two similar computers, and the same problem appears.

    Any solution?

Data: I connect the cellphone by the USB Cable. In bluetooth it does not even detect the phone.

    Thank you

yes! it is set as you say but does not work. To be considered: if i plug my cell by usb you can charge the battery. although the sync process begins and breaks when looking for an Ip, giving me a message of taking contact with microsoft. thanks. any other suggestion?

try using the activesync troubleshooter on the PC. my phone recently wont synchronise to..altough there are no IP problem.. after tryng to change the USB connection to activesync serial it works.. donlt know if that would help you though..

What version if Windows Mobile is the phone running? When I had 6.0, the only way I was able to sync was to switch the USB connection from rndis to serial.

I hava Windows Mobile 6. That is which came with my Moto Q 9h.

I have tried setting ActiveSync serial in my usb configuration, but it works worse. Neither recognized the phone.

If I connect as ActiveSync Rndis, the active sync software opens by itself in the pc, buy cannot conect to the phone.

    Any other solution to this?

    iabdelnur,

You are not alone. I have a Q9H that is less than a week old and have the same exact problem you do. I have tried all the tricks in the threads....

Activesync works fine for my Dell Axim, but not the Q. I even uninstalled the whole thing and reinstalled it with no change.

Can anyone tell me if they have an ip if they do an ipconfig /all? I dont.

I connected my Q9h to my XP SP2 laptop and used activesync a number times and eventually flashed it to 6.1 with that same laptop. I now primary use my Vista box now but only the laptop has Outlook on it so it still gets used.

    YMMV
