    Multiple Contact/Address Books

I'm running Oulook 07 for my contacts. I have business contacts and personal contacts. I would like them to be in separate address books instead of using categories. Is there a way to get ActiveSync to sync 2 books? I don't see this box as an option when going through the settings.

No, what you are doing is as good as it gets. Sorry. -Q

as Q-Area51 said you can only do 1 address book
but you can utilize 'categories' in your address book so you can sort

Thanks. Yes, I know about the categories and that is currently how I have it set. I just wanted to keep certain contacts separate from my personal address book.

Just like hockey said you can change the "VIEW" to show only personal or business etc. So in essence you do have multiple address books.

I have not tried to filter. This is what I'm running into. I have a friend who is also a customer for my business. I export the contacts from Quickbooks into Outlook. So, this creates duplicate address. When I go to type the name, I get her name more than one time.

I don't want to not have my customers in my phone because I do call them, but not enough to where it is convenient for their name to show when I start typing a name. Does that make sense?

I will try the filter and see if this works better for me.

I have categories set for my contacts, but when I bring up my contact list, everyone shows up until I set the filter. Is there a way to have it always filter to one category? Without having to go through the menu every time?

I have this same thing. I am thinking I'm just as fine with all the contacts. I hardly ever actually go to contacts anyway. I normally just start typing their name and that is where I was trying to get the filter to work.
