    Hacking question Q9c

I have read in other forums about people doing something to their smartphones to make look like a regular cell phone on the network so that they didnt have to get a data plan when they activated it. I'm not even sure what they did exactly as it has been a while since I saw it. I didnt know if anyone has done that with a Q9c or not. If someone has I would like to know how to do this. I would like to keep using my Q9c but cant afford a data plan right now.

    Thanks in advance

there are no hacks to allow your Q9c to use data and not be charged for it
call your carrier and get a data block if you dont want to get billed for data

I think he means he doesn't want to be forced to pay for a data plan like you have to do for many of the newer phones. But you don't have to pay for a data plan. you can choose to pay per kb if you so choose. The data plan is definitely worth it though if you can afford it. To each his own.

well you do have to have a data plan, but the pay as you go option is still a data plan AFAIK,

But I wouldn't consider that as a data plan because if you don't use any data, it won't cost you anything. I get what you are saying though. I thought there was a hack to block the phone from using data completely. Maybe that's what he is talking about. Either way, I believe you have to either pay for a monthly plan or select to have them charge you per kb.

That's good to know if I get laid off again and have to remove my data plan.
