    pdanet + bluetooth + macbook = internet?

Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how to successfully connect PDANET to a bluetooth macbook. It is a Sprint Motorola Q device.

I tried everything on the forums, and it just attempts to connect and then disconnects. I am using version 1.80, no username, no password, and #777.

    Thanks,

    Brad

While I am not certain, I believe that PDANET does not work with Macs. A Mac-compatible modem client can be found here: http://www.mobile-stream.com/usbmodem_wm.html , but note that they have not yet updated their USB drivers for Leopard, but it should work with Bluetooth. They have a free trial.

K this is assuming you have PDA net already installed on your Q and your verizon. Click the Bluetooth button on the top bar of you Mac> Open Bluetooth Preferences> Setup new device> after that go back and go to Configure under this menu. Choose your Q that you just added. Make sure "acess internet with phone's data plan" is checked then hit continue. The settings are as follows
username: "your phone number (includes area code)@vzw3g.com
    ex: 5554441111@vzw3g.com
    password is: vzw
    phone number is: #777
modem script: Verizon Support (PC 5220)

hit cotinue then quit then try to connect and you should be good.

But there is a problem with it if your bandwidth usage drops to zero after like 90 secs it disconnects you. Anyone figure this one out?
