Using keypad with automated attendent phone systems

OK I call a prospect at the company main number. I get the auto attendent and get the options including
"If you would like access the company directory press 6"

    OK good so far.

    Now it says
"Please spell the person last name using your phones keypad"

OK, this is based on the stand phone keypad where number 2 is used for letters abc, 3 for def and so on. Well the Ozone is not setup this way and if you just type the letters on the qwerty keypad it does not send the appropriate tones.

So how do you deal with this short of memorizing the letters associated with the numbers on a stand phone keypad?
